REAL DRUMS RECORDED BY A PRO STUDIO DRUMMER

I’m a drummer, engineer, and producer based out of Athens, Georgia. I’m passionate about recording the perfect drum take for each song.

Here’s the uncomfortably braggadocious sales pitch: I’ve tracked drums from my studio on hundreds of songs for dozens of artists and producers all over the world. Songs I’ve played on have earned millions of streams.

Here’s what you get when you work with me:

  • A completely unique drum take recorded by a professional drummer in a treated drum room on custom and vintage drum and recording gear

  • The ability to send revision requests if you aren’t completely satisfied with a take

  • Percussion overdubs (extra cymbals, fills, shaker, tambo, claps, etc.)

  • Once you are satisfied with the drums, I will deliver 10+ Fully edited and processed drum stems that can be mixed as you please

  • You will also receive a stereo file of my drum bus. You can use this as is in your mix, or use it as a reference to get your own drum mix dialed in faster.

  • If you would like, I can record video of my drum session

  • My goal is to take your song to the next level. You only pay if you are completely satisfied with my service

Frequently Asked Questions

How Do I send you files?

You can email me a Dropbox link, Wetransfer link, or Google Drive link.

How long does it take to record drums?

I deliver a first drum take within 2 business days of getting files from you. If you have any revisions and need additional takes I can usually get revision takes back 2 business days after revision requests. If you need me to turn things around faster I can do that, just let me know!

What do you need from me in order to record drums on my song?

1) I need to know the bpm and sample rate of your song. I can track to songs that weren’t tracked to a click, but I’ll need to hear the song first and make sure its doable.

2) I need a WAV file of your song. If you have scratch drums or drum samples in your song that I’ll be replacing then I’ll need a WAV file with the drums muted, and a WAV file with the drums included.

3) Any direction you want to give: charts, reference songs with drum parts or sounds you want me to emulate, a voice memo beatbox, anything else you want me to know. I can approach songs very differently based on your intended vision, I can always do what comes naturally to me, but the more information I have going in, the easier it is for me to nail your vision.

What’s Your Process Like?

Once I get your song and directions, I drop your files into my DAW, pick out the right recording setup for your particular song, and record. Once I have a take that I’m happy with, I’ll send you a bounce of my drums with your song for you to hear. From there, I can ask me to make any revisions/changes to parts or tones you desire (like I said earlier, the more detailed your revision requests are the better. I will take the time to read through your notes and make your desired changes as best I can. If I have questions I’ll let you know before I track another take).

How Does Payment Work?

Once you are completely satisfied with the performance and sound of the drums, I require payment before I deliver files. I can receive payments through Paypal, Venmo, or Cashapp.

What Files Do I Get?

I can record drums at whatever sample rate you need. Once I’ve been paid, I’ll send you 10 or more (depending on overdubs) processed and edited WAV files, plus effects buses, and my stereo drum bus. If you want overdubs of percussion, or additional fills, cymbals, claps, or programming, you’ll get those wav files and aux tracks as well. I can also record video of my drum take for no extra charge - just let me know if you want this.

I can edit the song to the grid, or preserve the feel of the take, just let me know what you would like.

What Happens If I pay you, and then realize there’s a problem with the drums weeks or months later?

My goal is to provide you with drums that are perfect for your song. Problems are extremely rare, but if you notice a problem, with timing, processing, or anything else let me know! I am down to fix any mistakes or problems, or answer any questions you might have.
